We had a blast
I was there with 2 other friends of mine and bought some mind-bending drugs about an hour before the show. Things kicked in just in time...we were down on the floor about 10 rows from the stage. 1st set was very enjoyable, but the 2nd was the bomb. Opening with Eyes->PITB->UJB was insane. The crowd was in a rock solid groove!

music-wise, i recall being disappointed from time to time during the late-80s and 90s when there were "too many" new songs at a show. however, listening to this show demonstrates how nicely the new songs here were folded into the batter: foolish heart, lazy river road, so many roads, corrina . . .
of course, these are some of my favorite of the newer tunes and none disappoint. this is relaxed and open as they got in '93, not a bad year IMHO. everyone has their favorites, and i think this stands up there with 8-22 and 9-29 (my favs). they sound "loose" and comfortable. the corrina jam is the highlight for me. it is really groovy, full of jerry noodles and dream scapes lifting off to drums. very nice.
ok, it's not a board, but some of these audience recordings are truer to the sound than the overly perfect hyper digital boards. this house the warmth of the buckeye field, albeit a little distant. a solid FOB would probably get a '93 5 stars from me.
ah, to happen across a show like this these days . . . a summer field, a joyous lot, no hurry . . .
